Radeon R6xx/R7xx EXA/Xv merged to master

I just merged the R6xx/R7xx EXA/Xv code to the master branch of xf86-video-ati.  It’s disabled by default.  If you want to test it you’ll need an updated drm:  either the drm-next branch of Dave’s drm-2.6 tree or the r6xx-r7xx-support branch of the drm tree.

Update: for those of you that prefer radeonhd, I’ve merged r6xx/r7xx accel to master there too now.

First. Thanks For the driver and information.

I test with asus 4670 and 2D EXA work good. Only the famous video tears (I test with XV and opengl video output).

when do you fix this problem??.

With this problem fixed radeonhd is a better driver than fglrx.

Tears should be fixed with radeon (but not radeonhd).

OK. I have a weird bug: My 1920×1200 monitor only works on output DVI-1 of my HD4670, not DVI-0. Either port works fine under windows with the “Reduce the clockspeed of the DVI signal” option checked in the ATI Catalyst control centre (I paraphrase, it might be phrased slightly differently).

The xorg.conf makes no mention of any monitors at all. The Xorg logfile is slightly different: the working one appears to have an extra section entitled ” (II) RADEON(0): Printing DDC gathered Modelines:”. Option “ModeDebug” is set On.

Should I report this as a bug on the freedesktop bugzilla?

What about also merging the drm branch to master?
